Kirkcaldy, Fife
A new 508 bed acute hospital for 2011 built adjacent to the existing Victoria Hospital to house all specialist acute inpatient services for NHS Fife. Services will include a new A&E department, 11 operating theatres and surgical and medical wards.
BSB supplied 8 fully networked addressable damper panels to control and monitor the 1,150 fire/smoke dampers installed throughout the building and the control and monitoring of 42 fan control devices wired into the networks. The system was configured for zonal control and further enhanced to include a fireman's override panel for cold smoke clearance.
