Our Commitment to Standardising Smoke Control System Commissioning

At BSB, we are proud to support the Smoke Control Association’s efforts towards standardising airflow measurements for lobby-mounted smoke control dampers. Our recent collaborative event with industry professionals was a significant step towards achieving this goal. 

During the event, discussions and tests conducted using our test rig focused on standardising measuring techniques to bring consistency to the commissioning of smoke control systems. This ensures that systems installed by SCA members meet the highest standards of efficiency and safety. 

By promoting these standardised methods, we aim to enhance the reliability and performance of smoke control systems across the industry. Our collective efforts are crucial in shaping a unified approach to smoke control, ultimately leading to safer buildings.
