£13.60 – £15.50 per hour

Job Duties

BSB Engineering Services Limited are a locally based company with a worldwide reach as we are part of the Maico Group.

Established in 1980, we specialise in manufacturing fire, smoke and air volume control products for the Construction and Marine industry. This is an exciting period for the Company and due to our continued and significant expansion, we are currently recruiting for MIG welding positions to join and work alongside our established teams.

This is a varied role as we work with a wide range of clients across different industries. The ideal candidate will have some MIG welding experience, good attention to detail, be hard working and committed to delivering quality products.

Our standard hours are 08.00 – 16.30 but there is the opportunity for regular overtime.

Candidates should be able to work in Aylesford and ideally, candidates should have their own transport.

  • Basic experience of MIG welding (TIG welding would be an advantage) – familiar with MIG welding processes
  • Experience of welding thin gauge material 1mm – 3mm is essential
  • Candidates with production line welding experience i.e. fast paced environment are preferred
  • Experience of welding galvanised & stainless-steel materials ideal
  • Assist with housekeeping as needed
  • Flexible in approach and able to perform different duties in other departments and areas if necessary
  • Used to working to within Health & Safety and Company culture; able to adhere to all necessary regulations and endorse a strong Health & Safety focus within the Company
  • Ability to interpret basic technical drawings and requirements would be an advantage
  • Any other general factory tasks

  • Physically fit, able to work with many heavy items
  • Team player but able to work on own initiative
  • Calm in manner, with ability to demonstrate good level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise changing workloads
  • Can-do flexible attitude to meet increased volumes and peak seasons
