Project

Comprehensive Fire Safety Implementation at Victoria Acute Hospital

Project overview

BSB Engineering Services Ltd. (BSB) was entrusted with providing an advanced fire safety system for the new Victoria Acute Hospital in Kirkcaldy, Fife. This 508-bed facility houses all specialist acute inpatient services for NHS Fife, including a new A&E department, 11 operating theatres, and surgical and medical wards.

BSB supplied 8 fully networked addressable damper control panels to manage and monitor the 1,150 fire/smoke dampers installed throughout the hospital. Additionally, the system included the control and monitoring of 42 fan control devices integrated into the network. The system was configured for zonal control and further enhanced with a fireman’s override panel ensuring optimal safety and compliance standards across the facility.
